Physical Therapy

Total Health Systems specializes in treating fibromyalgia, TMJ, spinal issues, headaches, and other musculo-skeletal conditions through comprehensive active and passive physical therapy plans.

Benefits of Physical Therapy

When you’re injured, how often do you think: “It’s probably fine. My body will heal itself”? While this may be true, your body will recover faster and more safely post-injury if a physical therapist guides you. Our physical therapists can help determine the exact cause of your injury and custom-tailor a recovery and exercise program. Additional benefits of physical therapy include:

  • Improves Mobility
  • Reduces & Eliminates Pain
  • Aids in Muscle Restoration
  • Prevents Surgeries

About Our Physical Therapy

Total Health Systems uses a personalized and focused approach to physical therapy.  We work one-on-one with patients that allow for tailored treatments and individualized attention, which can often lead to better outcomes. Total Health Systems prioritizes quality care and patient satisfaction over a more generalized approach seen in larger physical therapy chains. This approach can foster a strong therapeutic relationship between the patient and therapist, which is crucial for successful rehabilitation.

Under the direction of our medical team, our physical therapists can help you take advantage of our unique rehabilitation program. We focus on correcting muscle imbalances that can lead to faulty posture and chronic pain. We do this by providing a combination of passive and active care that includes:

Passive Care

  • Ultrasound
  • Hot/moist therapy/Ice therapy
  • Electric muscle stimulation
  • Manual therapy
  • Myofascial release
  • Trigger point therapy

Active Care

  • Rehabilitative services
  • Flexibility training
  • Balance training
  • Strength training
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Ergonomic corrections

I just had an amazing visit with the P.T. Rafal today. It was an amazing appointment. He asked about my issues and dealt with them one at a time. He asked how I felt throughout the process and made me feel like the main priority. In fact, I have more mobility and feel better than I have in years after today.
