What is InBody?

The InBody is the most advanced body composition analyzer on the market and is trusted by leading hospitals, universities, and professional sports teams because of the precision. Simply stand on the device for 45 seconds and see your percent body fat, basal metabolic rate, segmental muscle balance, body composition history, and more on a full-page results sheet printout. The InBody is fast, accurate, and non-invasive.

Preparing for Body Composition Testing

  • If you’re not sure if the InBody test is right for you, try our interactive online simulation first. Our simulation walks you through the test and what information you will see in your report.
  • The test is non-invasive and quick (can be completed between 15 and 120 seconds), so you don’t need to worry about pain or discomfort. You may feel a slight tingling sensation as the InBody system does use an 8-point electrode system to measure your body’s intracellular and extracellular fluid.
  • On the day of your test, don’t shower or use skin care products on your hands or feet.
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol for at least 24 hours.
  • Don’t eat or exercise at least three hours before the test.
