Total Health System’s Top 3 Fitness Tips for Summer 2014
Can you believe we just celebrated the 4th of July? Summer if full of fun outdoor activities and friends and family. But how are ya doing with your workout regiment? It’s easy to fall off the wagon and get out of your routine.
So far we have covered the importance of scheduling your fitness or activity, and last week I discussed how picking an event will help you stay focused and motivated during the busy summer months.
First of all, having a buddy helps with the first two tips I shared.
Our first tip, the importance of scheduling your workout. Scheduling your workout makes if more likely to happen. If you schedule it with a buddy you are even more likely to make it happen. Now you are even more likely to stick to it, because you don’t want to let down your buddy. (Amazing how we go out of our way to please others but not ourselves)
Our second tip recommended picking an event, like a race, charitable walk, bike tour, or an obstacle course race. Obviously doing these with a buddy or your family makes it way more fun!
If logistics allow for you and your buddy to actually workout together that is great. But sometimes schedules or miles apart don’t allow that to happen. Maybe you can make it happen on the weekends by meeting somewhere convenient for both of you.
At the very least keep in touch with other over social media or text message and hold each other accountable. Help your friend stick to a schedule and your friend will do that same for you. You will find when you are helping a friend schedule and plan or set goals it makes you even more likely to stick to your plan.

Each class is $5 to drop in, or purchase a monthly pass for $25 and go to as many classes as you can. You can’t beat that price!
FitRanx is a 30 minute full body workout. We use equipment such as kettle bells, dumb bells, barbells, medicine balls, ropes, tires, and of course your own body weight.
FitRanx sessions are kept small so your trainer can monitor you and modify the workout for you if needed. Each session has 6 people. Because 6 of you are sharing the cost of the trainer, it is significantly more affordable than traditional one on one sessions.

Available packages range from 3, 6 and 12 months. And you decide if you want to to do 1, 2 or 3 x week. 3 month package are $15 session, 6 month packages are $12.50 a session, and year packages are $10 session.
