One Arm, Shoulder Pull Down – Demonstrated by Total Health Systems

Hi. My name is Piotr, and today I would like to demonstrate the single shoulder pull down exercise.  In this exercises we will focus on shoulder stabilization.

We live in a very stressful environment, where stress is predominant in our lives. We have tendency to keep our shoulders up and forward, what results in chronic tension in our shoulders.

When we make a movement with the shoulders in forward and up position we create environment that we can easy strained them and develop rotator cuff injury. When we have the shoulders in the correct position back and down that is where they are stabilized. With stabilized shoulder we are able to make much more efficient movement of our arm.

When doing the single shoulder pull down, the key is to make sure that you bring the shoulder blade down first, and then you pull down the arm.  Thank you.
