We have recently added Scott McCormick, Physician’s Assistant to our wellness team. Scott will be a valued addition to our patients and staff. Scott is available for all of our current medical services and will be available to meet all of your primary care needs.
Scott graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy Physician Assistant program in 2010. Since Graduation he has worked in Internal Medicine at St John Hospital; and Emergency Medicine with Henry Ford Health Systems at the main campus in Detroit. Scott is also a member of the Army National Guard. Serving as Battalion Surgeon and caring for over 800 Infantrymen for the last 3 years. Prior military service includes active duty with Navy; and Marine Corps as a field medic.
Working in the emergency department in an underserved community has afforded Scott with a variety of experience; including: pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, obstetrics, and gynecology just to name a few. Seeing firsthand the repercussion of poorly controlled chronic disease like diabetes, hypertension, combined with lack of exercise; poor eating habits has motivated Scott to find a position in preventative care. Scott looks forward to using his experience and passion for health care to help the patients here at Total Health Systems reach their goals and improve quality of life! Scott strongly believes in health promotion and primary prevention of disease.
