What Will My Massage Appointment Be Like?

You will be asked to fill out a short health questionnaire if you have never been here before.

When you are in the massage room, you will be asked to undress to your comfort level.  Your massage therapist will give you privacy to undress and you are normally covered up except for the area being worked on.

You will relax on a padded table designed for stability and comfort.  The room will be warm and quiet, often with soft music to set a relaxing mood.

Your massage therapist will use a light oil or lotion which is good for your skin and absorbs well.

It is recommended to drink water after your massage to help flush out any toxins.

Massage and related bodywork techniques can release painful muscle tension, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, and reduce mental and physical fatigue.  In addition, massage is among the most effective means available to combat stress.  Our massage therapists are certified by the International Massage Association.
Massage and Chiropractic:  You can benefit in a number of ways by adding massage therapy to your Chiropractic care program.

Recovery is normally faster and more complete when you address multiple components of your pain.

Chiropractic treatment often proceeds more easily, with less discomfort, when soft tissue has been relaxed with massage.

You may be less anxious and more ready to receive Chiropractic adjustment after a relaxing massage.

Adjustments frequently last longer when muscle tension is released that might otherwise pull your joints out of alignment again.
