Michael is an alumnus of Wayne State University, where he received his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2002. He has spent his entire career working in Macomb County treating patients with diagnoses varying from back and neck pain to CVA and Parkinson’s to post-surgical total knee and hip replacement. Michael incorporates a variety of techniques such as stretching, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, taping, exercise, and core stabilization into his individualized, patient-centered treatment sessions.
Kurt Blakeley graduated with Associates degree as a PTA from Macomb Community College in 1998. He has experience in a variety of clinical/school/hospital settings working with pediatric, geriatric, and orthopedic patients, with the majority of my time being spent treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic environment. Kurt returned to school in 2013 and finished my Bachelors degree as a PTA, graduating in Aug, 2014 in preparation to apply to the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in Findlay, Ohio.
Rafal graduated form Macomb Community College in 2004 with a degree of Associates of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He made the dean’s list. Rafal worked in NOMC (north oakland medical center) his first year out of school, after that he decided to focus on out patient care. He worked with a variety of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. I trained in NMT (neuromuscular therapy), SCS (strain counter strain techniques), and MET (muscle energy techniques). Rafal spent the last 5 years treating patients with neck and low back injuries, as well as hip and knee injuries. He uses manual therapy, as well as stretching (mostly McKenzie) , and strengthening techniques to help reduce pain and restore function. Each patient treatment is individualized to the patient’s needs. He is also fluent in Polish .
Marek graduated from Academy of Physical Education in Poznan, Poland in 1994. He holds Master Degree in Motor Rehabilitation and Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
For years, Marek has been practicing physical therapy in variety of settings including pediatrics, in-patient hospital, long term care. Recently , he has been focusing on outpatient orthopedic physical therapy utilizing his knowledge and skills to treat patient with musculo-skeletal, neurological and sport related injuries.
Piotr received a Master of Motor Rehabilitation degree from the Academy of Physical Education in Poland in 1994. Piotr also holds a bachelor degree in physical education. He worked for two years at a polish hospital before moving to the U.S.A. in 1996 to work in an outpatient clinic. He specializes in manual therapy, dealing with complex pains, movement dysfunction, and headaches. Peter uses various techniques like massage, joint mobilization, myofascial release, cranio-sacral therapy, and trigger point therapy to restore the well being of his patients. In his work, he emphasizes the influence of physical activity and structural balance to develop a pain-free life.
